About Dapdune Wharf

One of England’s oldest navigable waterways, with nearly 20 miles of towpaths, locks, bridges and riverside trails running through Guildford, Godalming and the wider Surrey countryside. Dapdune Wharf acts as the main visitor hub, with historic barges, boat trips, a café, second-hand bookshop and exhibitions explaining the river’s industrial history and barge-building past. Along the navigation itself, people come for walking, kayaking, cycling, wildlife spotting and quieter stretches of countryside beside the water.
