Guildford Castle combines a medieval Norman keep with landscaped public gardens in the middle of Guildford town centre. Visitors can climb to the top of the restored tower for wide views across Guildford and the surrounding countryside, while the grounds below include flower beds, winding paths, a bandstand, bowling green and shaded seating areas. The site also contains interpretation panels and exhibits covering the castle’s history from the Norman period onwards, with the gardens remaining open throughout the year.
