The Watermill

The Watermill’s main appeal is obvious the moment you arrive: a beautiful waterside setting, large outdoor seating areas and the kind of relaxed countryside atmosphere that makes people stay longer than planned. Sitting just outside Dorking, it works especially well for sunny afternoon drinks, post-walk pints and casual gatherings by the river. While food is available and perfectly serviceable for a pub lunch, the real reason to visit is the setting itself rather than standout cooking. It is best approached as a place to unwind, enjoy the view and settle into the atmosphere.
